okay. part III

last day of SAM *SOBSOB*
final exams, last paper was accounts on 22nd november.
went out for a movie after that paper (some classmates do take accounts, instead of biology), Harry potter 3 i think. was also the day evelyn was going back to indonesia...

SAM coroboree was on 23rd november. my first prom with a date ;p
no prizes for guessing who!!!

can't really remember much, it was like all the other proms la.
oh, james and mayn represented our class for prom king & queen nominations.
and typical careless me, almost lost my scarf. james and i went round looking for it high and low. luckily we found it *phew*
thats why i don't bother wearing a scarf anymore

and the NEXT day (so packed!!!) was our trip to LANGKAWI! woohoo~~~

sat a train from KL SENTARL.
and the journey was so long. so very very long....and the train was super cold.
there was also another group of students from SAM in the same train also..what a conincidence...

stayed at KONDO ISTANA. pretty nice place. near the town with lots of shops.
selling chocolates.
my paradise =)

happy happy =)

first day there, had dinner at some nice restaurant, sat a table in a gazebo overlooking the sea. that was really really nice. took loads of photos too..as usual..

next morning, we went to pantai cenang, or something like that. the wethere was nice, we just lepak around the beach..

then we went to some fancy restaurant for seafood. yum yum.
did a lot of walking that day. was so wiped out...

next day. we went to the hot springs..took a lot of photos, explored the place and all

front to back:via, jojo, babra, me, mui, alex, bill, alex, james and tzunin

....aren't we all a bunch of posers. lol.

then we went to a shopping mall. had KLG- don't know what it stands for, but its langkawi fried chicken...bought lots of chocolates, biscuits, soviniers...
at night, we walked all the way to some night market. but since it was alredy so late, there was nothing much to see...

next day, our last day =(
it was raining early in morning.
shessh. so depressing.
went out to do last minute shopping.
then pack and leave. boo hoo
long train ride home again. sighhhhh

thats the end of the langkawi trip.

some random memories that i still have during my year in college with the best class. ever.

LAN classes..where some of us sneak in drinks. that was so fun. hahah
and there was this time IMU had a talk in our college. a few of us girls were sitting by the steps of the lecture theater before the talk, eating ice cream and
chatting away.that was after we booked a few rows of seats for ourselves and other classmates. kiasu-ness, i know...
and the way the whole class use to groan when mui how starts collecting class fund. again.
and how we used to complain when we had to walk all the way from one block to another, then another one later, far far away with lots of steps to climb
no difference right now, climbing the escalators in IMU...
and there was once we walked all the way to secret recipe to have lunch, and ran all the way back to college, was a couple minutes late for math class..so tiring...
and how tense all of us will be on the day results are out. still not used to that feeling yet....
standing at the guard house during lunch, deciding where to eat. that takes a looong time..
"studying" in the library, when we were actually making noise in the disscussion rooms in the library
endless yum cha sessions..
and taking photos is one of our favourite pastime. anywhere, anytime...
well, i can go on and on.
G13 is a truly memorable class.

i miss G13 SOOOOO much!!!

some random boring post....

I haven't stepped out my front gate since last Wednesday, when i went to IMU for my BS class. got a depressed, quiet patient. not sure how i did though.OK la i think
then had a CSU practise session. tried to go through all the systems. but we were faltering, stuck and a bit lost sometimes. aaargh~

so bored =(

my darling will be going to kkb on monday. already miss him so much =(

my mum bought my birthday gift. said it was a surprise. eee. i love surprises. just cannot stand the suspense though.

waffles..

my favorite type of post:
about F.O.O.D
this time is something simple i made for a hearty breakfast.
was actually for mother's day few months back.
the idea of eating waffles with tuna..might seem strange, basically because waffles have always been associated with peanut butter&jam or honey or ice cream.
so eating it with a savoury filling might seem weird.
but waffles are just as versatile as pancakes. try it if you don't believe it =)

but of course, you will need a waffle maker...

nice plain waffles.

tuna waffles (recipe and instructions below...)

and for the sweet tooth, waffles with banana and chocolate syrup.

ok. the recipe.
ingredients
1 3/4 cups plain flour, sifted
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
3 tablespoon sugar (can be omitted if making savory ones)
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoon cooking oil

mix the flour, sugar, salt in a bowl (A)
in a separate bowl, beat the eggs, add the oil and milk.(B)
add the dry ingredients (A) into the wet ingredients (B)
The batter will be lumpy, so strain it with the sieve first.
follow the instructions of the waffle machine.

for tuna waffles:
just spread tuna (the one with mayonnaise) add some lettuce tomatoes and sliced Cheddar cheese, if desired. its really up to you.

see? simple as that

G13-part TWO

continuation from my previous post...
okay, after mid year break...
back to college again.
lots of common tests, English oral tests (about natural disasters. i still can remember. lol)
and in JULY. MY BIRTHDAY =)
the class got a birthday cake for david (12 july) karthik r (11 july) and yours truly (25th july)
...hmmmm...why no photo one ar???
in september 4th. went to help out with this yellow house volunteer project.
i went for the first session. and the last one only.hm, kind of regret when the rest of them got their certificates and i didn't. and its my fault so i can't complain.
we put on a play. phantom of the opera. edited version. with JAMES as the phantom. ailing as christine, and vco as raoul. lots of drama. and lots of good singing. and a short dance performance. to the "masquerade" song. and all of us sang a couple of songs.. including heal the world. the kids were entertained. and i don't think they really understood the play, but they enjoyed it.

and then we adjourned to midvalley. to yum cha =)

oh, and my pet rabbit, snowie, went to bunny heaven on 19th september. and i went to school so depressed and down. and of course my friends were there to cheer me up. a few days later, via gave me this cute mechanical white bunny, you know..the one that is battery operated, can walk and make strange noises. so thoughtful of her. cheered me up a lot =)
then, you wouldn't believe how 'happening' our lecturers can be.
we went to redbox, for a karaoke session with our BIOLOGY LECTURER!!!
it was so fun. to hear her sing bon jovi's song!! hahaha. i miss those times so much!!! and also James sang our song for me. Thank God I found you, by mariah carey, 98 degrees and joe. *so sweet* *bush blush*

SAM officially ended on 28th october. we were actually dreading and counting down the days we had left as a class.
the last day. before our final exam (7-16 november)
as usual, we took lots of photographs, with lecturers, with our classmates. was a very emo day....
we gave a little token of appreciation to our super responsible class representative (james, my darling!!) and mui how (his assistant)

no, i'm not done yet..
still to come :
1. sam coroboree night
2. langkawi trip
and other stuff...

fantastic shopping place!!

to all shopaholics!
there is this mall at cheras, selling branded clothes, watches, luggage and gifts at a reduced price.
its QUEEN'S PARK in cheras, kuala lumpur.
go and dig out Sunday's paper, THE STAR, page 12 of METRO section.
since I'm horrible and directions..don't ask me.
there is an ESPRIT outlet there with end of season clothing, which are as good as the ones you get at the esprit in shopping malls.the price is tons better =)
who cares if its out of season. not like anyone will know.
they have a wide range of tank tops, t shirts, jackets, bags, purses, jeans and skirt. can get a nice t shirt for rm20-rm30. and jeans about 100 plus...
and a FACTORY OUTLET STORE... with a lot of guys t-shirts and for ladies, lots of tops and skirts sometimes. for as a low as 10 ringgit for a nice top. i remember once i bought FIVE 10 ringgit tops =)
and they have new stock every now and then so, you have to be pretty lucky. to go at the right time..
and there is a lovely lace outlet store too. cheap nice gifts. think soft toys, frilly cushions and fancy figurines, trinket boxes and all sorts of girly-things
and a travel for all shop. luggage, sweaters..
they also sell branded watches (think Gucci, Guess, Casio etc) and baby stuff (anankku shop)

and the best part is.....

MNG will be opening a store there in mid June (whohoo~~~) that will occupy FIVE lots!!!
cannot wait!!! =)

so, visit QUEENS PARK if you get the chance!!! highly recommended place to get retail therapy

UH-OH!!

sort-of-finished foundation 2
but when i try to recall...
*blank*
uh oh. how am i gonna sit foe EOS
and i just wrote a long blog, about g13.
the only entertainment i get these past few days are
1. blogging
2. playing online games
3. thinking about "after exam"
4. watching tv. hardly. except for the few shows i normally watch
5. disturbing my cousin

I WANT MY MUMMY!!!

just went through some pathology pictures.
attempt to get ready for tmr's lab session. probably will make me realize I've yet to cover so MANY MANY more things.
sigh~~

now to go over foundation 2.
and hopefully get a start on DREADED CVS.
**must be POSITIVE =)**

G13-one of the best times of my life

suddenly feel nostalgic
and longing to go back to college.
don't know why i suddenly find myself reminiscing about the past.
about what a great year i had in college.
and i wonder why I'm only beginning to blog about it now.
and even though SAM was stressful all year long, with all the common tests, assignments, endless homeworks, practical lab session, we still found time to hang out, bond with each other, watch movies. so much so we even became a family.
oh, my i really miss G13.

4th January 2005 was the first day of college. was scared, excited and apprehensive.
luckily i had two former classmates ( hong ping & peng loon) with me (heh. they left sam halfway) with me. i can't remember much, but on the first day, i was looking at a classroom full of strangers, whom I'll be learning with for a whole year. it was much more than that. we shared laughter, joy and sorrows.celebrated birthdays together. worked together as a class. went through exams together.

anyway, i remember the first "outing" we had. it was because our LAN class ended early. we went out to the coffee shop (which is now Starbucks) and had a drink and slowly got to know each other better.

me being me, at first felt kind of out of place. and took me awhile to get adjusted to my new environment. and started to love it. alot.
let me highlight a few memorable events =)

BBQ party at ailing's house.somewhere in march.
taking lots of pictures( we did that all year round!)
and playing taboo also i think.
i made some blueberry cheese tarts too.

and i did spend most of my time after classes hanging out in the library, cos i was too lazy to walk home and rather wait for my dad to pick me up (yes, I'm lazy. besides its dangerous isn't it?) oh, that was before beeling fetch me home (so nice of her =))
and i remember one day when i was in the library doing homework in one of the pathetic cubicles, v co and james came to disturb me. and they were so noisy, the librarian came and twist v co's ear!!hahahha!!

and the SAM charity fair was held on april 28. and our class did a game stall. the dancing thingy, and i made blueberry cheese tarts to sell also (with the help of few friends)
i think our class got second....
from the bottom

and yeah! JAMES'S birthday (30th April)..two days away from bio common test 2
ailing started collecting money to get him a gift. and somehow the list got into james's hands O.o
and Jane suddenly blurting out that we wanted to surprise him on his birthday....
so we went to his place early in the morning. although it wasn't a surprise....
and had breakfast together at burger king...

oh, and i also got my first experience...playing pool.
somehow, peng loon convinced me to play pool.
so a few of us went to asia club...and i TRIED to play. they tried teaching me..i can't remember much but all i know is that it was made super easy for me...erm by aligning the balls properly...hehe

*trying to go in chronological order*

oh, mid year exams, at the end of may, before a two week break.
went for a hospital attachment at DSH with beeling, mayn and alex.
didn't learn much. hmp.

not sure how many parts i'm gonna take. but i still won't be able to recapitulate all the memories of g13.
hm. didn't know i can be so sappy.
**to be continued**

but can you "purposely-accidentaly" lose that "IG-lover" on your way home? just a suggestion. but come to think of it, she brightens up my life. in a twisted kind of way. if you know what i mean.
and if other readers don't understand the previous three lines, don't fret. just a little private joke!!!

i'm actually feeling a little better.

gotta get working on my goal to finish foundation 2 by this monday.

Friday, 1 June 2007

e.o.s = nightmares

there is so much of neoplasia and immunology you can read before going bonkers.
oh my....and i'm wasting so much time also.
so bored of studying.
and its only the first week of study break. and i'm only halfway through the first file (foundation 2) and my clinical skills are so rusting....

personality tests. all about me me and me!!!

what's your true colour?
You're blue — the most soothing shade of the spectrum. The color of a clear summer sky or a deep, reflective ocean, blue has traditionally symbolized trust, solitude, and loyalty. Most likely a thoughtful person who values spending some time on your own, you'd rather connect deeply with a few people than have a bunch of slight acquaintances. Luckily, making close friends isn't that hard, since people are naturally attracted to you — they're soothed by your calming presence. Cool and collected, you rarely overreact. Instead, you think things through before coming to a decision. That level-headed, thoughtful approach to life is patently blue — and patently you!

what's your flavour?
Mmm ... peppermint! Crisp and refreshing, you're the flavor of candy canes and after-dinner mints — everyone's favorite comfort candies. If you were a season, you'd be winter — bracing and energizing, but cozy, too. Your honesty and forthright personality make people feel like they've known you forever — they can't help but be drawn to your sweet, fresh nature. Perhaps a little old-fashioned, and occasionally shy, you're generally happy and well-liked. Traditional and invigorating, you're a truly tasty treat.

Are you a perfectionist?
Appearance
Although you're probably very conscious of how you look, you're willing to occasionally leave your house without every hair in place and every crease in line. You're very aware of your appearance, but you don't obsess about it. You're okay with changes in your getting-ready routine, and are fine with not always looking your absolute best.
Possessions
Looks like you take very good care of your possessions — without obsessing about them. Since you probably take pride in the condition of your things, you like to keep your surroundings in a relatively neat, organized state. But you know that every little thing doesn't necessarily have one spot it has to be in at all times, and you're just fine if everything isn't always in peak shape. That's a great attitude — being aware of, but not overly concerned about, your possessions is an effective way of extending the lifespan of your things without causing yourself undue stress.
Work
We can tell that you prefer to turn in top-notch work and always invest a significant amount of pride in every task you take on. But you also understand that it's important to have an open mind and a flexible attitude at work. That's why you're able to occasionally let your personal standards slide a little when your employer needs you to. So you stay open to change, while at the same time remaining organized and efficient enough to plan out a day or week at a time. Keep up the good balance!

take these interseting and fun tests at http://web.tickle.com/ =)
