here is another recipe.
nutella cheesecake.
yummy versatile nutella. yummy on bread, crackers, and even in cheese cake
ingredients
for the base
10 cream filled chocolate cookies (eg:oreo) crushed (don't remove the cream)
2 tablespoon melted butter
for the cake
450g cream cheese, room temperature
2 large eggs
3 tablespoon brown sugar
1/3 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 1/3 tablespoon cornflour
150g nutella
75 ml milk
75 ml whipping cream
method
for the base:
1. crush the cookies forming crumbs.
2. mix the melted butter into cookie crumbs.
3. place the cookie crumbs into a spring foam pan* and press it evenly so it covers the whole pan
4. refrigerate the pan
for the cake
1. Beat cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth
2. Add vanilla essence and cornflour and nutella
3. Lower the speed of the mixer and add the eggs one at a time.
4. Add whipping cream and milk and mix till well incorporated.
5. take out the prepared pan (with cookie crumb base) and pour the batter into the pan
6. preheat the oven to 160 degrees celcius
7. (ok, here comes the trick part, pay attention) wrap the bottom and sides of the spring foam pan with aluminium foil (so water won't seep in) take another larger pan. place the spring foam pan inside it. pour some water into the larger pan. maybe about halfway the spring foam pan. this is called water bath i think
8. place the whole thing into preheated oven and bake it for 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes (or until it sets)
9. leave the cake in the oven for 30 minutes with the door closed. and another 30 minutes with the door open.
10. chill 6 hours before unmoulding. (if you can stand waiting =p)
11. this is optional. topping. i melted about 60 g dark chocolate and spread it on the cake. simple. making it a chocoholic's delight =)
