my family and I went for lunch.
we found this place through THE STAR newspaper 7th may 2007
the ambiance was nice, with quaint little coloured lamps and there was this section that was really nicely decorated. we sat at a table (with a "plushy" cushion seat) overlooking the city.

OK. coming to the good stuff, the food!
had a difficult time deciding what to order cos the menu was quite extensive.
settled for 4 dishes (to be eaten with rice) and 3 deserts

this is yam goong fu memuang- which is crispy shredded prawn with mango salad, and is also one of their house specialty. very nice =) the mango salad was sour and slightly spicy and compliments the crunchy prawn flakes, that to me, tasted slightly nutty.oh, there were bits of cashew nuts inside too.yummy

this is my favourite
Gai thod kee-thai fried chicken. a pretty simple dish but crispy and full of flavour!
and the thai chili sauce is so so good!!

Phad ma keu yau- eggplant with minced chicken and chili
didn't like this this, firstly cos i don't really fancy eggplants/brinjals/aubergines (didn't know that purple vege had so many names)
and it had too strong a mint taste.

Khai jiaw goong-prawn omelet.
not bad, crispy on the edges with bits of prawns in it

and the best part..desserts!

this is my all time favourite- red ruby. water chestnut with jack fruit in shaved ice and coconut milk. the water chestnut is coated with starch and it is red (hence the name red ruby)its not so rich- less coconut milk.which is a good thing =)

sticky rice mango- a chunk of mango with coconut cream and glutinous rice.
i liked it. except the glutinous rice tasted a bit strange..

thai cendol. like the normal cendol, except it has less coconut milk. and it has bits of honeydew pieces in it.

overall, the food is good. can give 7 to 7.5 out of ten =)
it is quite reasonably priced, a meal for five of us come to less than 80 bucks.
do give this place a try if you're craving for thai food!
