1 stop cafe, jalan ipoh, KL

after this cafe was featured in a show "one day 5 meal" (direct translation!) on astro we decided to give it a try one lazy sunday afternoon. i was dragged along, half reluctantly cos i was busy mugging for exams. but anyway it was nice to get out of the house and try some good food. hehe :p

so we went all the way to jalan ipoh!

1 Stop Cafe
(is open daily from 11am to 11pm. )
No 2 , Jalan Balam,
Batu 3 Jalan Ipoh,
51100 Kuala Lumpur.
Tel: 03-40426880.

simple deco. there are two section, one open air and another with air cond. when we reached, there, there were soooo many people. it was so packed and we had to wait awhile to get a seat :(

probably cos there was a church nearby and they just finished..so bad timing

and another thing was..cos it was so late (2pm) so alot of stuff that we were planning to try was sold out!!! argh!! all the way and we couldn't try it!

anyway....we just ordered what ever that was left...

their menu is quite extensive and most stuff were reasonably priced. from rice with meat (pork/chicken/fish) priced at 5.90 to 8.90..to 10 types of noodles...

but what we were planning to eat was just many light snacks..so we can try many! haha

this is one of their specialty! pumpkin pie (rm3.00) deep fried crisp crust shaped like a cute mini pumpkin. its filled with soft pumpkin (what else??) not bad, very interesting..
the radish cake (rm1.50) this is very good. not too starchy and the chili was so good!!
an assortment of nyonya kuih (rm0.80 each) not bad but very ordinary
this is something special :) very creative and a nice combination!
chicken, cheese and ham in "char siew" sauce wrapped in a tortila. good for a quick snack and good for sharing also

sunset boulevard drink (rm 4.90) a mixture of orange juice, ginger and soda. very weird mixture but somehow it seem to be OK. well, except the ginger taste was abit too overpowering (reminder: i hate ginger!!)
coffee (rm1.50) quite good according to parents. lol

and last but not least. the chicken lobak served with chili. two rolls for rm5.80. meaty and yummy and full of flavour.

overall, the food was good and very affordable. the only drawback was that we didn't get to try the stuff we wanted like snowman brownie and sandwich roll and some other stuff. nevermind, there will be another time!

ratings:

food&drinks: 7.5/10

price: 8/10

ambiance:7/10

service:7/10

overall: 7.5/10
