Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe, Singapore (my first "overseas" food review!!)

yup, my food blog has gone "international"....not really, its just one food review from singapore!

Since i'm the "food picture" girl and since i have yet to get the "people" photos, i shall start blogging about my trips on food (what else :P)

on the first day in singapore (friday) we (James, bee ling, mei jun, jane and I) felt a little hungry after dinner so we walked all along Orchard road, in search of good food. Then we came across this cinelesuire mall (something like the one at the curve) which was still open and there were sooo many people milling around.

and we decided on this shop cos it looked good plus there was a huge crowd (indication that the food is good i suppose..)

XIN WANG HONG KONG CAFE, CINELEISURE
NO.8 GRANGE ROAD
#02-11 CINELESIURE ORCHARD
TEL:62356480

the menu was quite extensive. the typical hong kong style cafes...

oooo. and there was this absolutely ADORABLE japanese style curtain hanging at the doorway of the kitchen. if you look closely you will see...lots of white bunnies. so so so cute. wish i could rip it out and bring back to malaysia *sighs with longing*

ok, back to the proper topic. FOOD. we ordered a few different dishes to share so we can sample more things...

first up, i could not resist ordering the french toast cos it looks so good in the menu.
its quite small but very thick with a coating of honey and a small chunk of butter. soft, eggy and very delicious!! its $3.90 (prices quoted in sing dollars ya. and don't try to convert or else you won't be able to eat ANYTHING, for example this french toast here almost costs TEN RINGGIT.OMG!)
french fries. $4.90.
black sesame cream ($3.50) smooth and creamy and soothing and not too sweet

roti prata with sausages ($4.90) quite interesting...its like eating roti canai with salad, sausage and mayo. LOL.
black pepper pork chops ($8.50) the sauce is seperate because *ahem ahem* quite nice, this dish iced cincau $2.50. love the metal mug ^-^ hot horlicks $1.20
and half boiled eggs!! $1.50
all in all it was a nice place with good service and reasonably priced food (IF you don't convert!)
