after 5 weeks and 5 days of being apart from my boyfriend, actually across the south China sea, it was so good to see him again!
went to The Curve to watch a movie and eat eat eat.
We watched secret a mandarin movie, directed and starring jay Chou (the multi-talented guy) he can sing, play the piano so well, act and now direct a movie! wow.
It was a good show. a bit slow at first, but it intensifies halfway through. the big secret is *shhhh* go and find out yourself. but its something out of the norm.not your typical i-guessed-it-storyline. very creative.
"Secret", an original story written by Chou, deals with the memory of first love through high school lovers, Lun (Chou) and Yu (Kwai Lun-Mei). Music is a key element of the romantic drama in which Chou composed and sang the eponymous theme song, "Secret".
Want to know a little about the plot? The first day Lun (Chou) enters Tamkang Secondary School, he meets Yu (Kwai Lun-Mei) in the music room. She is playing a mysterious piano solo. The two become intimate friends and spend a lot of time together. He often asks her "What's the melody you played the first day we met?" but Yu unfailingly replies: "That's my secret."
One day, Lun asks Yu to meet him in the music room but Yu never showed up. Lun cannot find her. Later, Lun sees Yu in an old photograph and what surprises him is that Yu is standing next to his father, Chiu (Anthony Wong) in the photo!

I enjoyed this movie alot. I loved piano playing scenes, where their fingers were practically flying across the keyboards.
Food review next.
We had lunch before our movie at Le Marche cos James wanted to try it.
so we went in and got two "passports"
i ordered cheeses rosti, some potato dish.
IT WAS BURNT!
the bottom was charred and black. yuck!
but the top and sides were ok. and the cheese was yummy.
IT WAS BURNT!
and James ordered a seafood platter. with mussels, prawns, White fish, salmon fish, mashed potato and salad.
it was not bad. the mash potato was heavenly.
and i tried mussels for the first time. hmmm...not too bad.
and for desert..we had savory crepe.
some sort of pancake but much thinner. It was filled with cubes of turkey ham, capsicum, melted cheese, mushroom. Delicious.
and something else i tried last time also in Le Marche. Their tiramisu. Can't remember how it tasted but i think it was OK.
the atmosphere and deco is fantastic, something i really like about this place =)
it's special cos it has many different "themes".
but its rather pricey though...
Le marche is from Switzerland..
then for tea time, we went to Paddington house of pancakes.
i orded their tea time set, valid from 3.00 pm until 5.30pM from mondays to fridays. Its RM 12.80++ for pancakes (a set menu for every-day) and tea.
Thursday was banana with cinnamon, chocolate honeycomb butter and vanilla ice cream. it is served with maple syrup.
James had this savory pancake. With a slice of ham, cheese, egg, hash brown, caramelizes onions, tomatoes and lettuce. a complete meal all on its own. oh, and the gravy that accompanied it is to die for. mm-mm. it was really good.
and this is something i had when i came with my family last time. a very desert-ish pancake. with chocolate sauce, almond slices, a dollop of whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, strawberries and blueberries.yummy yummy =)
a sweet ending to a perfect day! =)
