O&S Restaurant in Paramount Garden

food review!!

O&S RESTAURANT
JALAN 20/16A
PARAMOUNT GARDEN
PETALING JAYA
(next to CALTEX petrol station and on the same row as ALFA college)

This placed is ALWAYS packed on weekends and during peak hours.
There will be people standing around waiting for others to finish so that they can grab the seats. so obviously, they have very good food =)

My family and I went there last Sunday, and lucky for us, we got a seat as soon as we reached :)
We would usually order a few dishes than "rotate" it so that everyone can eat everything. so its better go to in a big group..
there are lots to choose from..and almost all the food are good..

they have on of the best assam laksa I've ever tasted. sour and spicy with the right proportions, with generous chunks of fish and yummy noodles.mmmmm
we usually order it without all the toppings (mint leaves, cucumber, onions and pineapples) cos no one will eat them anyway...
the same stall also has curry laksa, which is really rich and served with tau-fu-pok and chicken slices

this is something you must order. the chee cheong fun. you can choose either sweet sauce, curry or special rojak sauce. i would recommend the rojak sauce. its really good and something special =)

this is the popiah. not bad also

the pork noodle. nice also

assorted young tau foo. the queue is very long...

there is also a kuih-kuih stall. and i always buy the onde-onde. its very yummy. the filling (gula melaka) squirts out when you bite into it. so the best way to eat it is to put everything into your mouth..
the angku-kuih is nice too

overall rating of 9/10 =)
(i just can't get enough of their assam laska..)
cheap (hawker food price (RM3-5) ) and generally fast service (once you get a seat)

after lecture, we went there and arrived aroung 8 plus..
it was a sort of clubbing place, i don't know cos a hardly ever go to that area at nigh. so this MOJO was a two story place, and the party was at the first floor. after we got there, saying hi to everyone, we started taking photos (favorite pastime)

the girls posing =)

then more photo taking..
we even made up "categories" like from SAM, from penang etc. LOL

with the lovely b-pharm girls...the prizes/souvenir committee members

G13 class of 2005 now in IMU =)

potential ANTM contestents. haha.

people "from penang" including being half-penangite, been to penang and also liking penang food. LOL

me and james :)

the guys (and han ying)
took photos with the rest of the committee members...

from top (clockwise) jack, patrick, million and florence =)

with hung jen, ka keat, lishun and prasad..

Yup, as i said in my previous post, i did learn may things from being in the commitee (the head of prizes/souvenir department)
I remeber the day we attended the meeting, and i actually voluteered for the post. i didn't think that it will involve so much of work. at times i regret taking it up but right now, i'm so proud because i did my part contributing to the community.its a great feeling =)
I know how much planning it takes to make an event successful.
I know how important team-work and co-operation is.
and i learn how to trust others but still it doesn't hurt to check and double check again. never assume anything!
i read from a story book that if you "assume"..you will be making an ass out of u and me ass+u+me. get it? and ka keat also agrees with me. hehe =p
and also to ask for help when you need it. and not to panick when everything is not going the way you expect it to be. there will always be a solution (most of the time)
and always have faith. our event was really successful, we surpassed our target by far =) even if there are major and minor hiccups, that is part and parcel of everything right?
and also people are NICE.
during the prize giving, there was a mix up of medals. and this lady from women's open got a high school medal instead. she asked if i could change it for her and left the medal with me. unfortunately, i couldn't get the data of the high school girl. so i had no choice but to return it to her. I was so afriad that she might scold me or something. but when i called her, she was really nice about it and said that she didn't mind coming to IMU to collect it. then later she messged me saying that "its ok and that we learn from our mistakes and that we did an amazing job to raise funds for charity and that she will be looking forward to our next charity run"
how sweet is that?
i felt really bad about the mix-up. but after her msg, i feel so much better.
see? people are nice. and sometimes i worry too much!

all in all, being part of the IMU charity run/carnival committee was a great experience =)
but no more organizing committees for me for a very very long time. seriously.

puppies for adoption

A message from one of my friends...

A stray dog came and gave birth to a
litter of puppies in my back yard last
month.
SO.. I'm now the proud owner of six
dogs =.=" go figure..

There are five puppies, all female,
ALL VERY CUTE =P They are currently 4
weeks old. We'll prolly keep them for
a few more weeks till they can be
independent enough to be separated
from their mother.

Anybody interested in adopting a
puppy, please message me in friendster
or if you know my handphone number,
feel free to call or sms me too.

Pls help!! We asked the SPCA and PAWS,
and the conditions there are quite
pathetic, and the puppies will most
prolly get put to sleep anyway. So
we're trying to avoid sending them
there. If in 2 or 3 weeks there are no
takers we'll have no choice but to do
that.

i wish i could adopt one but i have 4 bunnies at home and besides my mum will go berserk.
so if anyone is intrested, just leave a comment of contact me...
it will be great if these puppies get a new home..

my favorite t-shirt

the front says...

and the back...

don't know if its true! haha =P
so syiok sendiri and totally out of no where.
besides someone has already "got" me :)

apparently next week is breast cancer awareness week and someone suggested we wear PINK for the whole week. if its BLACK then no problem for me..I've actually worn black to uni for one whole week. i will try though..haha

little penang kafe

food review post =)
had dinner at LITTLE PENANG KAFE at mid valley megamall today
there is also another outlet at THE CURVE.

first up...the very famous CHAR KWAY TEOW. really yummy. there is the normal variety..with or without chili, topped up with a little crab meat and two prawns. there is also one seafood, which is more expensive....it tastes like the one you can get in penang. yumyum. not too oily nor salty. its just right.

next is something new for us..Siamese laksa. very rich gravy and thick rice noodles (the ones use in assam lakasa) alot of fish and toppings. and alot of santan. sinfully rich. just spicy enough for me.something you can only eat once awhile without feeling guilty...

and we also ordered nasi lemak ayam. fragrant fluffy rice, belacan sambal, crispy ikan bilis and a chicken drumstick. yummy and very satisfying

main meals aside, there are also snacks and desserts..
the very famous must try penang rojak. pieces of fruits with authentic sauce and a sprinkle of peanuts. the sauce that is really good. which made the whole rojak fantastic..

next is the hak lo mai tong sui that my father loves so much

and something i can never get enough of. RED RUBY! shaved iced with coconut milk, chestnut coated with starchy jelly and red colouring and slices of sweet nangka!

overall, the price is reasonable (main dishes are rm 9) and really good!
there is usually a big crowd, have to wait for seats but service is quite fast.
rating...8.5 out of 10!

yesterday night was dinner with my aunt from USA. somewhere in puchong. didn't take any photos of food cos i was too shy. hehe
then today was my grandma's birthday. we (about 16 of us, big happy family) went to some seafood restaurant in selayang. and i took food pictures! hehe.
but can't provide info about the place cos i have NO IDEA where it is. Don't even know the address. so no point blogging about it.
